VOCU – CAAT Pension Plan Session & Survey

We want to thank you for attending the CAAT Pension Plan session yesterday. Given the extensiveness of what was presented by the CAAT team, you can review its presentation again and the content of its Member Resources. We encourage you to discuss it with a financial planner and/or a tax specialist, so that, if this benefit were to be added to your collective agreement, you could make comprehensive adjustments in your financial planning as soon as possible.

Although we are unable to predict any bargaining outcome, we are optimistic that the employer will recognize:

• offering a defined benefits plan to you aligns with its core values.
• having a defined benefits plan helps retain and attract talent in a tight labour market.

Your union works with a focus on your benefit security and dignified retirement. Please complete the pension plan survey by 7 p.m. on September 18, 2023. This will allow your bargaining team members to determine whether we table a defined benefits pension plan proposal for the upcoming negotiations. Thank you again for your participation.
