Victoria Shipyards – Ratification Results

We would like to advise you that the voting for the ratification of a new collective agreement was concluded today and the votes of all affected unions was calculated.

An overwhelming majority of MoveUP members voted in favour of the employer’s proposed final offer however, almost 80% of overall union members at Victoria Shipyards rejected the offer.

What does this mean? The Boilermakers 191 has reached out to the employer to advise them of the results and we are awaiting information on when bargaining might resume.
