Update on Issue Raised Regarding 2nd On Call Compensation

To: All MoveUP Members at W.A.V.A.W.-RCC
Your union is pleased to announce that we have achieved a Memorandum of Agreement that will provide compensation for the 2nd on call and out call hospital accompaniment personnel.
The issue was brought to the attention of Job Steward Natti Schmid, and through discussions with the Employer and the Union, a resolve was achieved. The settlement provides for all affected employees who were performing the 2nd hospital accompaniment on call and out call function to be compensated retroactively from May 1, 2020 to present, at the applicable rate of pay. It is further agreed that the Employer will compensate 2nd on call employees who are scheduled to be on call per the collective agreement. Please find the Memorandum of Agreement here.
We thank you for taking an interest in your rights and entitlements, as we were able to achieve a resolve working together collectively as a membership. This provided your union with the ability to ensure that your rights and entitlements are protected under the collective agreement.
