Bargaining
TransLink – Bargaining Bulletin – Update #3
September 23, 2020
To: All MoveUP members at TransLink
Your bargaining committee sincerely appreciates the hard work the entire membership has been performing during this unprecedented time in history. We acknowledge and appreciate our membership has been critical in keeping the transit system operational during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Your bargaining committee met today to review outstanding language proposals which had been tabled by the Employer. We are pleased to announce that several leave provision proposals were agreed to by your bargaining committee. We also re-tabled substantive “working from home language” to the Employer. We understand that this issue is critical for our membership and we remain committed to negotiating the best deal for our membership.
We sincerely appreciate everyone’s patience in this unique round of virtual bargaining. We hope to provide you with further updates as they become available. Please feel free to contact members of your bargaining committee if you have any questions.
In Solidarity,
Your Bargaining Committee:
Parm Sandhar, Union Representative
Safar Aikhani, Executive Board Member
Jennifer Froese, Executive Councillor
