Transit Group – Online webinar to discuss challenges being faced by public transit

To: All MoveUP members at BC Transit, Coast Mountain & TransLink
We will be holding an online webinar meeting on Monday, April 20 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. to discuss the recent news regarding the funding challenges being faced by public transit.
We will be providing an update on the work that your union, as well as other supporters of public transit, are doing to lobby the federal and provincial government. Communities continue to have an urgent need for public transit. Government needs to ensure its survival in the short-term and its viability in the long-term as we shift into a post-COVID-19 era.
On the call will be MoveUP President David Black, Combined Units Vice-President Christy Slusarenko, and Union Representative Parm Sandhar.
We hope you will be able to join us for this very important meeting that will have an impact on the work that you do to support our communities and front-line workers.
