Teamsters Local Union No. 155 – Membership Meeting to discuss Memorandum of Agreement – April 8, 2024

To: All MoveUP members at the Teamsters Local Union No. 155


Your bargaining committee is pleased to announce that we have reached a tentative agreement with your employer.

We will be holding a meeting in order to review the tentative agreement with you. The meeting details are as follows:

DATE: Monday, April 8, 2024
TIME: 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
WHERE: Zoom (Register Here)

Your bargaining committee will be in attendance to answer any questions you may have about the Memorandum of Agreement as well as any questions regarding Article 11.1.

Note:

The employer made it clear at the bargaining table that if you should experience mental or menstrual health issues, you should claim a sick day under Article 11.1 in the collective agreement. You do not have to disclose the type of illness, as that is considered private.

Some mental health issue examples are, but not limited to:

  • Stress
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Eating disorder

Some menstrual health issues are, but not limited to:

  • Dysmenorrhea
  • Endometriosis
  • Menorrhagia
  • Amenorrhea
  • Menopausal associated symptoms (skin conditions, insomnia, migraines, UTI’s)

How you vote:

To vote, simply log in to the member portal and you will see the option to vote on the screen. If you are having difficulty signing in to the member portal, please email membership@moveuptogether.ca. If you haven’t already registered for your account, you will need your membership number and home email address and then click here.  If you do not know your membership number, please go to moveuptogether.ca/membernumber and complete the online form and you will be contacted within one business day.

Online voting:

Voting opens: Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at 8:30 a.m.
Voting closes: Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at 4:30 p.m.

The parties agree to unanimously recommend acceptance of this Memorandum of Agreement to their respective principals.
