Support striking members at Port Coquitlam’s May Day Party

To: All MoveUP members in Port Coquitlam
Once again Port Coquitlam is holding the Rotary May Day Parade and Party in the Square, located at Leigh Square, on May 11th from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. This is a family friendly day, with lots of community entertainment and activities.
This year, MoveUP members at Westminster Savings Credit Union in Port Coquitlam are on strike to prevent an inferior pension plan being implemented for new employees.
MoveUP is calling on our members in the area to come out and support our striking members by attending the May Day event and helping our team distribute flyers to the community to raise awareness about the labour dispute.
If you are able to spend a couple hours with MoveUP at Leigh Square, please contact Caitlin Gilroy at cgilroy@moveuptogether.ca to ensure we bring a T-shirt for you in the correct size.
We will be convening at the picket line at 2850 at Shaughnessy St at 11:30 a.m. and walking to Leigh Square where we will be distributing information.
