**REMINDER** – MoveUP Youth Action Committee 2024 Winter School Application

**A reminder to apply**

MoveUP Youth Action Committee is pleased to offer five committee members the opportunity to attend the 2024 CLC Winter School. We be sending delegates to take the course “Young Workers in Action” from February 11th to 16th, 2023. As well, this year we will have the option for members to decide to take a more advanced course in recognition of the wide array of experience within our committee.

CLC Winter School runs from January 14 to February 16, 2024. Classes fill up quickly therefore we will consider registration for an alternate course choice as selected by the committee co-chairs if the “Young Workers in Action” is not available.

A full list of courses on offer can be found here. Applicants must be available to attend the entire course schedule including evening events. Registration takes place on Sunday afternoon from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. and the course schedule ends on Friday at noon.

Participant selection will be determined by the engagement demonstrated to MoveUP. We will also take into consideration the thoughtfulness of the survey answers. We will also seek to have diverse representation from equity seeking groups and include all MoveUP bargaining units. Lastly, we seek to have one spot designated to a member that is from outside the Lower Mainland.

MoveUP will cover the cost for your work book off time, course registration, room and taxes and any related travel expenses as per MoveUP travel expense policy.

In order to submit your application, you must complete the application survey no later than end of day, Wednesday, November 1, 2024.  Please take the time to review the school brochure where you find important details about the school as well as accommodation hotel.

We will advise the successful applicants shortly after the registration survey is closed.
