NWDLC endorses Alison Gu and Baljinder Narang for Burnaby City Council

The New Westminster & District Labour Council (NWDLC) has endorsed Alison Gu and Baljinder Narang from the Burnaby Citizens Association (BCA) for city council in the upcoming Burnaby by-election.
Gu was born and raised in Burnaby and has a strong background in progressive activism and political experience from working on Parliament Hill as well as provincially in BC. She is committed to fighting for climate justice, affordable housing and anti-racism and equity policies. You can learn more about Gu by clicking here.
Narang is originally from Uganda and has lived in Burnaby since 1995. She has been extremely active in the community volunteering as an active member of the Parent Advisory Council and District Advisory Council, and as an elected school trustee. The main issues she is passionate about include affordable housing, environmental sustainability, meaningful reconciliation with Indigenous communities, as well as equity and inclusion for all Burnaby residents. The by-election day takes place on Saturday, June 26 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. There are also advance voting opportunities on June 12, and June 14-19.
