To: MoveUP members employed at Accenture at Burnaby Central Park Pl 14th Floor, Corporate Office, North Shore Coastal, Surrey Electric Meter Shop, Surrey LMS 1, Surrey LMS 2, Vancouver Hamilton Call Centre, Vancouver Hamilton 2nd Floor. Members employed at BC Hydro at Bental IV – 6th Floor, Central Park 10th Floor, 14th Floor, 9th Floor, Georgia St 23rd Floor Vancouver, Georgia St 21st Floor, Hamilton 01, Hamilton 02, Hamilton CC, Metrotower 12th Floor, 5th Floor, Power Ex Burrard St, Richmond Line Room, Thurlow, West Georgia St
These areas have two at-large positions for nomination.
Two Positions Term Ending: April 30, 2023
Due to vacancies remaining from the recent 2020 triennial executive councillor elections and in accordance with the constitution, we are running a by-election for the above councillor positions.
As an executive councillor in your workplace, you are the spokesperson for your union. You are a vital link between the membership and the elected leadership. You, along with other job stewards, speak for your fellow members in the day to day relations between our union and management. In addition, you participate in five executive council meetings a year where you can take part in the direction and decision making of your union. Note that you may run in an executive council area that is not your own work location, however, your nominators must be working in that area.
Please click here for a nomination form. Deadline for nominations to be received in the union office is 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27, 2020.
Should we receive more than one nomination form, an election will be called with voting to be held by electronic ballot. Due to Covid-19 we are accepting nominations without hand-written signatures. Consult the nomination form instructions for all requirements.
