Notice of By-Election – Nomination Received – Executive Councillor #1616

To: All MoveUP Members at ICBC in EC #1616 Area
(Executive Councillor #1616 represents all ICBC members at Kingsway Claim Centre, Vancouver Point Grey DSC, and East Vancouver DLO)
Term Ending: April 30, 2020
In accordance with the constitution, we are running a by-election for the above councillor position. Duties of the executive council are detailed in article 7.4 of the constitution.
As an executive councillor in your workplace, you are the spokesperson for your union. You are a vital link between the membership and the elected leadership. You, along with other job stewards, speak for your fellow members in the day to day relations between our union and management. In addition you attend five executive council meetings a year where you can participate in the direction and decision making of your union.
Dora Wong, from out of area, has submitted a nomination form for the above position. If there are no other nominations received by 4:30pm on Thursday, April 19, 2018, Dora Wong will be declared the successful candidate.
