MoveUP Youth Action Committee Social Event – Indigenous Educational Event – June 24

To: All MoveUP Youth Action Committee Members
We welcome you to join your Youth Action Committee to attend an Indigenous Education Event hosted by the New Westminster District Labour Council Indigenous Standing Committee on Saturday, June 24th, 2023, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Please arrive shortly prior to 9 a.m. at 4333 Ledger Ave, Burnaby, BC, V5G 3T3. Free parking is available across the street. Transit is also available via bus from Brentwood and Metrotown Skytrain Station.
This is an excellent opportunity to come together, listen, learn, and celebrate National Indigenous People’s Month. This event will include local elders joining us for blanket exercises, crafts, and a Métis history panel.
Please confirm attendance by emailing our committees administrator here – RSVP – as soon as possible. We need to have an attendance list for the event organizers to help them facilitate this event by June 19th, 2023. Lunch will be provided, if you have any dietary restrictions and/or need accommodations let Dimitri or Rhys know.
