MoveUP Notice of By-Election for Executive Councillor – Area # 1641

To: All MoveUP Members at ICBC in EC Areas #1635 - 1641 at Home and Work
Members in EC areas #1635 – 1641 are employed at ICBC at Surrey Guildford Corporate Centre (All Floors).
There are seven at large postions. EC area # 1635 – 1640 are currently filled.
Term Ending: April 30, 2020
In accordance with the constitution, we are running a by-election for the above councillor position. Duties of the executive council are detailed in article 7.4 of the constitution.
As an executive councillor in your workplace, you are the spokesperson for your union. You are a vital link between the membership and the elected leadership. You, along with other job stewards, speak for your fellow members in the day to day relations between our union and management. In addition you attend five executive council meetings a year where you can participate in the direction and decision making of your union.
Deadline for nominations to be received at the union office is Monday, January 22, 2018.
