MoveUP Celebrates 22nd Annual Celebration of National Indigenous Day
June 7, 2018
To: All MoveUP members in the lower mainland
On June 21st 2018, members of your Human Rights & Multicultural Committee will be celebrating the 22nd Annual Celebration of National Indigenous Day at Trout Lake. From all over Canada, Indigenous communities and institutions come together in organizing the National Indigenous Day providing the opportunity for their community to celebrate while sharing cultural teachings amongst Indigenous peoples and friends.
MoveUP, along with your Human Rights & Multicultural Committee, wishes to follow the thread of sharing cultural teachings by asking our membership if there are any Indigenous artists who would be willing to come to the event and showcase their work and skills? Whether it be weaving, carving, beading or drum making we would be honoured to have you join us to demonstrate your craft.
If you or someone you know would be interested please respond to us here by June 14th 2018.
In solidarity,
Christy Slusarenko
