Hello members,
In late May, your union and your employer participated in mediation with the Labour Relations Board.
Mediation was very productive, and we were able to identify areas of agreement, including on wages and term.
Since mediation, we have had considerable back-and-forth discussions about the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) and the ratification process with the assistance of the appointed mediator. The parties continue to discuss the content of the MOA and until we are able to sign an MOA, the uniform ban and leafletting campaign remain in full effect.
If the parties cannot come to an agreement about the contents of the MOA, additional job action may be necessary. If that becomes necessary, your Job Action Committee will provide clear and timely updates on next steps.
