Join MoveUP at the Victoria Pride Parade on Sunday!
July 2, 2025
To All members in Victoria and surrounding areas
The 2025 Victoria Pride Parade takes place this weekend on Sunday, July 6! We invite our amazing members, along with their friends and family, to march with us in the parade to help represent our union with pride, solidarity, and joy!
The Victoria Pride Parade has become one of MoveUP’s favourite events of the Pride season. This large and colourful celebration has now grown to over 70,000 spectators and will showcase a variety of performances, floats, marchers, and organizations – all coming together to stand in solidarity with the 2SLGBTQIA+ community in Victoria. Like past years, MoveUP will be marching with the Victoria Labour Council in the parade, with Executive Councillor Shona Dion.
Where to Meet: MoveUP will be marching as part of group “C”. You can find us on Chatham Street at Spot 77. Look for volunteers in yellow vests if you have trouble finding the group!
When: Check in with group “C” at Spot 77 between 10 AM to 10:30 AM. The parade will begin at 11 AM. (If you plan to watch the parade and not march, a welcoming from the Songhees Nation, and other Indigenous and Two-Spirit guests of honour, will be opening the parade at Fisgard and Douglas Street.)
Parade Route: This year’s route is slightly different than previous years. View the map here: 2025-Pride-Parade-Map.pdf
Parade Finish: The parade will end at Parking Lot Q on Menzies Street. All participants are then welcome to join the Pride Festival happening after the parade.
We hope you join us this Sunday, bringing your family and friends with you, to have fun celebrating inclusion and equality! Whether you plan to march with MoveUP, or watch the parade, please remember to bring your sunscreen, water, hat, and PRIDE!
Please reach out to Kathyrn Prinz at kprinz@moveuptogether.ca to RSVP to this fantastic celebration! If you have any questions or need to contact MoveUP on Sunday to find the meeting spot, etc. please contact Executive Councillor Shona Dion at 250-857-5779.
