ICBC’s Announcement for Your Office

To: All MoveUP members at ICBC Head Office, Langley Claims Centre, and Surrey Central
This week, ICBC advised all of us that they plan to vacate Head Office within the next 3-5 years and both Langley Claim Centre and Surrey Central before the end of 2023. We were just as surprised as all the staff. We know that this announcement will be welcome for some and distressing for others.
The good news is that ICBC has given everyone lots of notice of their intensions. This advanced notice gives us the opportunity to sit down with ICBC and negotiate the transition plan for the impacted workers.
We have already heard from several members with their concerns about these changes. If you have concerns you would like us to raise with ICBC, you can send them to ICBCconnect@moveuptogether.ca . Your feedback will be an important guide as we negotiate this change.
