ICBC-September 19th Holiday

As you have likely heard, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has heralded that Monday, Sept. 19, the day of Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral, will be a federal holiday.
Premier John Horgan has also declared Monday, Sept. 19, a day of remembrance this year to align with the federal decision to mark the Queen’s funeral with a holiday.
As confirmed in Premier Horgan’s statement on National Day of Mourning to mark the Queen’s funeral, and due to our federal holiday recognition language in Article 16, Sept 19th will be a paid day off for employees normally entitled to provincial or federal statutory holidays. As with other statutory holidays, essential services will continue to operate in places they are required.
