ICBC – Phishing Program Announcement

To: All MoveUP members at ICBC
Your union was made aware of the Corporation’s February 23, 2022, announcement regarding a new program intended to help prevent phishing attacks. The announcement of the policy can be found on the Hub. This announcement advised that monthly phishing simulations will be performed by the Corporation and that employees who fail the simulations would be provided with additional training to help them detect phishing attacks and that they could potentially face discipline if they continue to fail future phishing simulations.
Your union is taking this matter seriously and will be initiating a policy grievance so that the parties can further discuss this program and ensure that it does not unreasonably impact employees in any way. As with any employer policy, this policy must be reasonable, non-discriminatory, and not arbitrary in its implementation. We will continue to update you on this matter as more is known.
