Bargaining
Hertz Bargaining – Bargaining Update
January 29, 2020
To: All MoveUP members at Hertz
Your Bargaining Committee met with management on January 27 and 28 in order to continue the negotiation of the collective agreement renewal.
The parties continued the process of working toward a recommended settlement.
We were able to reach agreement on some non-monetary and housekeeping items. As is the normal process for bargaining, the parties have agreed to address non-monetary items before working on monetary proposals. We continue to work toward achieving the improvements that were identified in the survey and membership meeting processes.
By the end of the second day it became apparent that there is still much work to be done.
The parties have agreed to meet again on February 25, 26, and 27 to continue bargaining.
Thank you for your continued support of your Bargaining Committee. As bargaining begins to reach a critical stage, it is essential that the employer knows that we are united as a group as they may see any signs of division as an opportunity that works to their advantage. In order to achieve the best possible agreement, we need to ensure that we show management that we are united in our goal of bargaining the best collective agreement renewal as possible.
If you have any questions about the above or anything else, please see your Bargaining Committee members or contact Shawn at the MoveUP office.
