April 7, 2026
To: MoveUP members who live in Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley at United Fishermen and Allied Workers Union (Unifor), Seaspan Vancouver Shipyards, Seaspan ULC, BC Hydro, Kruger Products, IAMAW District Lodge 250, IWA Forest Industry Pension Plan, Southern Railway and all members who live in Burnaby & New Westminster.
The Burnaby Village Museum is pursuing historical research about Burnaby’s waterfront industry along the Fraser River, Burrard Inlet, and Steel Creek.
They would like to interview and speak directly to those who have worked in the waterfront industries, past or present.
If you, or someone you know, has worked in a waterfront industry in Burnaby over the years, we encourage you to connect with Kate Petrusa at the Burnaby Village Museum by emailing kate.petrusa@burnaby.ca.
