Hastings – Strike Vote – Notice of Poll
October 16, 2017
To all MoveUP members at Hastings Entertainment, Inc.:
Your bargaining committee has called the following meetings to report on the state of negotiations. We will discuss the agreed upon items and the employer’s monetary offer at each of the meetings. At the end of the meeting the union will hold a strike vote. Your committee is asking you to vote in favour of strike to send a message to the employer that their offer is inadequate.
Please make sure you attend one of these important meetings.

At this meeting you will be asked to vote on taking strike action. The question on the ballot is:
“Are you in favour of a strike?”
**Please note that if you cannot make one of the meetings during the times specified, the bargaining committee will be available half an hour before and after each meeting to answer your questions. The room will be open from 8:30am to 7:00pm for you to cast your ballot.**
This meeting is extremely important and we need your support. Please make every effort to attend and participate in this vote.
