FortisBC – LOU#45 Remote Work – Update #7

To: All MoveUP Members at FortisBC Energy Inc and FortisBC Inc


We are approaching the nine-month anniversary since the Remote Work Trial Program was implemented. Since that time we have had several new members, and some existing members, who have asked about the Remote Work Trial Program that was negotiated during our last round of bargaining (click here to view).

The initial phase rolled out in May 2025, with a second phase in September 2025.

Although the Union was hoping to see additional phases rolled out in the first year, the Company has advised they are not planning on a third phase of the trial and will continue with the current trial group.

On completion of the trial program, MoveUP and your employer may agree to extend the trial, end the trial, or enter a newly negotiated program.

The trial program must remain in effect until May 2026.
