LOU #45 Remote Work Program – Trial Launching Soon

MoveUP members at FortisBC will soon have access to a new remote work program trial under Letter of Understanding #45 (LOU #45). This agreement ensures that members in eligible roles will have the option to work remotely on a trial basis, with key details now finalized.

What You Need to Know

  • Phase 1 Eligibility: The company has identified specific roles eligible for the first phase of the program.
  • Phase 2 Timeline: A second phase is expected to launch after a minimum of three months based on initial trial outcomes.
  • Training & Rollout:
    • Managers and directors will receive training in early April.
    • Eligible members will have one-on-one meetings with their manager to review program details, expectations, and deliverables.
    • The company expects to roll out the program by mid-April 2025.

Your Rights & Participation

  • Participation is voluntary. You are not required to disclose a reason for not participating.
  • You can withdraw from the program at any time.
  • Company-Provided Equipment: FortisBC will supply a laptop, mouse, keyboard, camera, and headset for remote work.
  • Additional Costs: Any costs beyond this list will not be covered by the company.
  • Home Office Equipment Purchase Program: Members can access the Lenovo Employee Purchase Program through Connector for additional equipment.
