FortisBC-CSC – Bargaining Update #8 – Parties Reach Tentative Agreement

To: All MoveUP Members at FBC-CSC
Your bargaining committee is pleased to announce that we have reached a tentative agreement with the Company.
We are happy to let you know some of the highlights that are included in the tentative agreement:
- Five (5) year term with wage increases: 1%, 1%, 1.25%, 1.5% 1.5%
- Achieving your four weeks of vacation sooner.
- Increase in benefits
- Job Security
- Increase on maximum caps for Health Leave Bank
- Improvement in language regarding job stewards and grievors
- Personal Leave
- Funeral Attendance
These are just a few of the proposals that were achieved. We were successful in achieving many more improvements and gains and it is with this in mind, that your bargaining committee is strongly recommending this tentative agreement.
We will be holding ratification meetings on the following dates at the following locations:
Trail: Thursday, February 16, 2017
Best Western Columbia River Inn
5:00 pm to 8:30 pm
Kelowna: Friday, February 17, 2017
Coast Capri Hotel
5:00 pm to 7:00 pm
Prince George: Tuesday, February 21, 2017
Prince George CSC Office (1st Floor Boardroom)
8:00 am to 6:30 pm
Burnaby: Thursday, February 23, 2017
Friday, February 24, 2017
Trio-vest Meeting Room, 1st Floor
7:00 am to 5:00 pm
This will be your opportunity to vote on the tentative agreement. For your convenience, a copy of the Memorandum of Agreement and the agreed to proposals will be individually emailed to your home in advance of the meeting. Please take the time to review the proposed Agreement in advance of the meeting and if you have questions, please bring them with you.
This will be your only opportunity to vote, and again, the committee is strongly recommending acceptance. Please make every effort to attend.
