FortisBC – Bargaining Update #15

To: All MoveUP Members at FortisBC
We write to inform you that we met with the employer to continue negotiations for your next collective agreement on July 9, 10, and 11, 2024.
We are happy to report that during these days we signed off on several more minor monetary proposals. As there are only a few other issues left for discussion, we are getting close to focusing primarily on major monetary issues moving forward.
During these dates, the employer also gave us a timetable for the release of detailed costing information for the flex benefits program to us.
In an effort to keep negotiations moving forward despite the ongoing delays, we are continuing to meet for bargaining today, July 16, 2024, as well as July 17 and 18, 2024.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue to push the employer to give us the information we need to achieve a positive outcome for you at the bargaining table. We will update you on July 19, 2024, on the status of negotiations.
