Enterprise YVR – Grievance Updates

January 22, 2026

To: All MoveUP members at Enterprise Rent-A-Car

As you are aware, there are two disputes regarding surveillance cameras and another regarding the employer wishing to have an Enterprise inside counter. Grievances have been filed on both issues.

Surveillance Cameras

The union states the location of the cameras violates Article 10.06 (Electronic Surveillance). While the camera issue was in dispute, the cameras were covered.

Recently they were uncovered with the matter still unresolved. At a recent grievance meeting, the employer is willing to discuss relocating the cameras, and they confirmed the cameras are not operational at the present time.

More meetings with the employer are planned in the next couple of weeks.

Enterprise Inside Counter

The union has filed a policy grievance on the issues and has had two grievance meetings on the matter.

Some members may have heard that the union has already agreed to the inside Enterprise counter.  This is incorrect.

The union has stated that the employer cannot decide on its own to create the Enterprise inside counter without the union’s agreement.

The union has concerns about the scheduling, workload, and whether the inside counter could lead to job losses.

More meetings with the employer are planned in the next couple of weeks.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding these two issues, please feel free to contact me at dstorms@moveuptogether.ca.

In solidarity,

Daniel Storms
Union Representative
