Enterprise Rent-A-Car – New Agreement Bulletin #1

September 24, 2025

To: All MoveUP members at Enterprise Rent-A-Car

Now that the agreement has been ratified, we thought it would be a good idea to outline some of the elements of the agreement to ensure everyone understands how the new agreement will affect them.

We will provide additional bulletins over the next several weeks.

Wage Increases versus Avis Negotiations

Some members have discussed in the lead up to the ratification vote that that our settlement was not as good as the Avis negotiations.

The best information we have is that the Avis agreement provided wage increases of $2.00/hour in Year 1, 3.0% in Year 2, and 3.0% in Year 3.

For our negotiations, and our increases of 4.0% Year 1, 4.0% Year 2, 5.0% Year 3, you should know that this is the largest wage increase we have ever bargained at Enterprise/National/Alamo according to our records.

In addition, in 2023 your Union also achieved significant employee wage increases for Shuttlers and for starting wages for all positions that are greater than what Avis-Budget members received this year.

There is some talk that the Vancouver airport required the 2023 wage increases but this is not the case. The Employer and the Union discussed staff shortages and increased wage to recruit and retain new employees.

The wage increases ranged from about $2.20/hour to about $2.80 per hour depending upon the position which was an increase in the range of 8-16% percent depending upon the position.

You should know that the Avis shuttlers still make less than our Shuttlers and will continue to fall behind us over the next 3 years.

Our 2025 Significant Wage Gains

Newer Employees

For employees with less than 10 years of service, their wage increases will be about 13.57% compounded over the life of the agreement, which is higher than the Avis agreement which for most positions is just under 13%.

These increases are IN ADDITION to the 8-16% increases achieved in 2023 for new members.

Senior Employees—10 Years or More

For employees with 10 years of service or more, the increase is about 16.25% compounded over the life of the agreement, which is MUCH higher than the Avis agreement.

About one-half of our members have 10 years of service or more and so they will immediately benefit.

We will have members who will reach 10 years of service during the term of the agreement, so they too will benefit from the additional wage increase.

Overtime and Job Duties

Some members have discussed in the lead up to the ratification vote that possible loss of overtime and altered job duties.

You should know that overtime occurs when there is not enough staff or when staff shortages happen quickly and those working on shift have to work longer and/or members are called to work to do overtime.

The changes to job descriptions will reduce managers doing our work and will NOT decrease overtime opportunities

For job duty changes, Greeters, LPAs and CSA duties are not changed significantly and new duties will only happen during busy time periods, and the changes WILL NOT impact members in CXR positions.

Greeters may be asked to move cars, but Greeters WILL NOT be washing cars.

Stay tuned for further bulletins.

Sincerely,

Daniel Storms
Union Representative
