CUPE BC and Locals – Bargaining Update #1

To: All MoveUP Members at CUPEBC and Locals
We have been in discussion with the employer for some time regarding alignment of the CUPE BC division office with the rest of CUPE locals to fix the disparity that has existed within your certification for some time.
Your employer’s assigned bargaining representatives are bringing forward our concerns and issues to the local principals and have committed to a response shortly.
We are also in active discussion regarding alignment of the varied local PBC plans and, should have another bulletin on this shortly.
Regardless, we will be sending out a bargaining survey tailored uniquely to your certification. This bargaining survey should be sent out within the next week. Instructions will be included in the corresponding bulletin.
I hope this update, albeit brief, answers any questions or concerns that may have arisen since our last meeting.
