Coast Mountain Bus – Exempt Employees – Unifor Strike Update #9

To: All MoveUP members at CMBC & TransLink
In advance of this week’s job action, MoveUP has advised the Employer that all current “acting” exempt employees who are MoveUP members need to be returned to their bargaining unit positions before the commencement of Unifor’s job action next Wednesday, November 27, 2019. Returning to bargaining unit positions is imperative as the Employer may direct acting exempt employees to cross Unifor’s picket line during the scheduled job action. By advising the Employer to return acting exempt members to their bargaining unit positions, MoveUP is removing the possibility that individual members may be ordered to cross a picket line.
All members will be required to report to their MoveUP Site Captains and participate in support activities to be eligible to receive your net pay from MoveUP during the job action.
