Canvassing for Change: Workshop training opportunities
February 6, 2025
To: Job Stewards, Executive Councilors and Executive Board members
The next federal election could be mere weeks away and it is important for our members to understand why it’s critical they vote for progressive candidates that have our interests as workers and Canadians prioritized.
That’s where you come in! The Canadian Labour Congress is hosting a series of Canvassing for Change workshops which are designed for union members that want to learn how to talk to their friends, family, co-workers, and neighbours about federal election issues.
Each workshop is a full day, so if you are scheduled to work you will require to be approved for an LOA before you register. There is a registration fee for each course which you can submit for reimbursement upon approval and attendance.
How to register
If you are interested in attending a workshop, first send an email to loa@moveuptogether.ca with your name, employer, the workshop date, and specify you are attending a CLC political action workshop. Once your LOA has been approved, then register for the course and send your proof of registration to loa@moveuptogether.ca.
If the course is no longer available, please email loa@moveuptogether.ca to let them know to cancel your LOA. If you do not provide proof of registration, your LOA will be automatically cancelled on the day before your course.
Please keep your proof of registration as you will need that to submit for reimbursement.
