BCH – Substituting Timebanks and Vacation for Incomplete Timesheets

It has recently come to our attention that several MoveUP members at BC Hydro have been advised that management may unilaterally deduct time from an employee’s Annual Vacation or time bank if timesheets are late or incomplete.

Your collective agreement clearly sets out the circumstances in which Annual Vacation and time banks may be used or deducted. This does not include incomplete timesheets.

If your Annual Vacation or time banks are reduced contrary to the collective agreement, we encourage you to contact a job steward about filing a grievance to have the time restored.
