Bargaining
BCH – Bargaining Update #6 – Break for the Holidays
December 19, 2025
To: All MoveUP Members at BC Hydro & Power Authority
Your Bargaining Committee met with BC Hydro on November 25, 26, and 27, and December 2, 3, and 4. During these meetings, the parties exchanged monetary proposals and engaged in discussions on wages, benefits, and job security. In addition, the parties conducted a review of the collective agreement and reached agreement on a few housekeeping items.
BC Hydro has proposed changes to several articles in the collective agreement, including overtime, layoff, benefits, MOU 15 (construction and field work employees) and MOU 44 (respectful workplaces).
The Bargaining Committee will now break for the holidays and will reconvene on January 6.
Please be assured that your committee will not agree to concessions and remains committed to achieving a fair and equitable collective agreement on your behalf.
Enjoy the holidays, and we wish you a Happy New Year.
