BCGEU – Joint Labour Management Meetings

To: All MoveUP members at the BCGEU
Under Article 23.6 of your collective agreement, MoveUP and BCGEU engage in Joint Labour Management Meetings.
The Labour/Management Committee discusses and attempts to resolve problems and complaints affecting either party in a cooperative manner, promoting a harmonious relationship between BCGEU, the employees and the Union.
We consider and review training needs of employees and career planning, trends in education, employee development as well as any other training issues.
It is the goal of both parties to meet on a quarterly basis. The frequency may be more often if there are urgent matters and may be moved out during the holiday seasons due to scheduling conflicts.
The September 25, 2018 meeting minutes will be sent to your home email address shortly.
The December meeting was postponed and rescheduled on February 11, 2019. The meeting minutes are being finalized and will be sent out as soon as possible.
The next Joint Labour Management meeting has been tentatively set for this April.
We encourage you to bring forward your questions and concerns to your committee members so that we can bring them forward at the next meeting.
We thank Sarah Maglio for all her hard work on the committee and look forward to introducing 2 new members in future.
