BC General Employees Union – “Me Too” Wage Retro Pay Update
November 19, 2025
To: All MoveUP members at BC General Employees Union
On November 17th, your executive councillors, Doris Stowe, Robelyn Martin and I met with the Employer for joint labour management at LMAO (Lower Mainland Area Office). The 20th Public Service Main Agreement was ratified on November 13th for a three percent (3%) general wage increase in 2025.
As we have a “me too” clause in Appendix A from our last round of bargaining, we inquired when the membership would receive the retroactive pay of the additional one percent. The Employer has targeted the payment for December 18th.
| April 1, 2025 | Effective April 1, 2025 a general wage increase of 2% or a “me too” to the general wage in the Public Service Main Agreement effective that date, whichever is greater. The Parties agree that if Public Service Negotiations are not complete on April 1, 2025, all staff shall receive a 2% increase on April 1, 2025. Once negotiations are complete, any necessary adjustments will be made retroactive to April 1, 2025. |
If you have any questions, please reach out to myself.
In solidarity,
Phil Bargen, Union Representative
Doris Stowe, Executive Councillor
Robelyn Martin, Executive Councillor
