BC College of Nurses and Midwives – Bargaining Update #2

To: All MoveUP members at BCCNM
Your bargaining committee met with the employer for three dates in December on December 11, 14 and 15.
The parties have discussed and tabled all items including monetary proposals. The parties are several percent apart on wages and are in disagreement regarding the Employer proposals on overtime, vacation day accrual, benefit improvements, and temporary positions.
The Employer ended bargaining early on December 15 citing the lack of progress from its perspective. The Union was open to continue bargaining, but with the Employer’s lack of interest, we will set additional dates in January 2024.
