Alma Mater Society – Food & Beverage Variance – Next Steps

To: All MoveUP members at Food and Beverage department
We, together, stood strong every step of the way to fight off the employer’s legal tactics while weathering the Labour Board’s long delays. Now, as of June 20, 2025, the AMS Food and Beverage department is officially a component of the AMS bargaining unit. Now is the time to move forward with the same level of commitment to bring this component into the existing collective agreement.
Your union will start by seeking the immediate implementation of fundamental rights for Food and Beverage members. Then, we intend to initiate the Variance Agreement process within the next couple of weeks. If you work in the Food and Beverage component and are interested in participating in this transitional process as a job steward, please contact your Vice President, Christy Slusarenko, at cslusarenko@moveuptogether.ca by July 5, 2025. In an effort to ensure that you receive all union communications and negotiation updates, we ask that you provide your contact information by emailing membership@moveuptogether.ca.
