Coast Mountain Bus Labour Management Minutes

To: All MoveUP members at CMBC
On December 12, 2018 the Union held its first Labour Management in over four and half (4.5) years with the Labour Relations Department at Coast Mountain Bus Company (CMBC). Your collective agreement contains language in articles 2.03 & 2.04 with respects to the mandate and composition of this committee.
The meeting was attended by four (4) job stewards from different service areas within CMBC. The Union had a fulsome discussion with the Employer regarding issues our members are having on the front line, we informed the Employer about the importance of having continued dialogue at the Labour Management Committee level in order to ensure issues can be addressed prior to them becoming formal grievances. The Employer was receptive to our position and informed us they would like to continue meetings with the Union throughout the 2019 calendar year.
The Union will be having a rotating roster of stewards attending these meetings on a go-forward basis, if you have any large issues impacting your workplace I encourage you to bring forward the issue to your local job steward in order to add items to our agenda.
