Tentative Agreement Reached with Dollar-Thrifty and Hertz YVR

To: All MoveUP members at Dollar-Thrifty and Hertz YVR
Your bargaining committee met on May 7, 2026, and is pleased to announce that we have reached a tentative agreement with your employer, Dollar-Thrifty and Hertz YVR.
While more details will be available in a follow-up bulletin along with details about a future membership meeting, we wanted to let you know of these great positive developments.
Some highlights of the tentative agreement include:
Confirmed Monetary Improvements
- short-term disability
- life insurance
- accidental death and dismemberment
- improvements to orthodontics
- improvements to work equipment
- updated Employment Standards Act language on sick leave
- improved vacation accrual
- significant low-wage redress for drivers that far exceeds what was bargained at Avis
- wage increases that meet or exceed those bargained at Avis and Enterprise
Your bargaining committee is strongly recommending ratification of the tentative agreement.
