2026 Triennial Executive Councillor Election Call for Nominations
March 13, 2026
To: All MoveUP members
Term ending April 30, 2029
Nominations are now open for all executive councillor positions as part of the MoveUP 2026 Triennial Executive Councillor election.
Executive councillors, as per Article 7 of the MoveUP Constitution, are elected by the membership to represent them on MoveUP’s Executive Council. Each council position has a constituency of members which was determined in advance by MoveUP’s Electoral Committee and approved during the February 2026 Council meeting.
Completed nomination forms must be received by the Returning Officer no later than 4:30 p.m. PT on Thursday, April 2, 2026.
The nomination form can be found on the MoveUP election webpage.
Please submit all completed forms by email directly to the Returning Officer at returningofficer@moveuptogether.ca.
If you are interested in submitting a nomination form for an executive councillor position, you must include at least the minimum number of nominators required for the council area you are seeking. Nominators must be members in good standing working in the executive council area in which you wish to stand. Please take the time to read the instructions which are part of the nomination form.
The deadline to submit your completed nomination form is Thursday, April 2, 2026, at 4:30 p.m. PT.
Contested Positions
If there are more nomination submissions received than the allotted number of executive councillors in that area, an election will be called. You are eligible to vote if there is a contested position in an electoral area where you are a constituent.
Voting will be conducted through the MoveUP Member Portal. You will need to have an account on MoveUP’s Member Portal in order to vote. This ensures a safe and secure voting process. If you have not yet already registered, you will need to do so at memberportal.moveuptogether.ca.
You must register and/or have your correct information in the Member Portal in order to be eligible to vote.
You will require TWO of the following information to authenticate your registration:
- Membership ID number
- Personal email address
If you do not have your membership ID number, fill out the form at MoveUPTogether.ca/membernumber. Our Membership Department will follow up with you.
Balloting details for any contested nominations will be posted by Thursday, April 16, 2026.
