Dollar-Thrifty and Hertz YVR – Bargaining Update February 2026

To: All MoveUP members at Dollar-Thrifty and Hertz YVR
As you know, our current collective agreement expired on October 31, 2025, and your collective agreement will remain in effect until a new collective agreement has been bargained and ratified by both parties.
Your bargaining committee has now met twice on January 28, 2026, and on February 19, 2026, and we have discussed a number of non-monetary proposals.
We have signed off three proposals on:
- job stewards and union representation
- shared commitment on fair and reasonable approach to employer rights
- housekeeping and clarifications to the grievance procedure
Your committee has had frank, productive discussions with employer on a number of topics and workplace issues and the tone has been productive and professional.
We have scheduled several future dates as follows:
March 4, 2026
March 10-11, 2026
March 24-25, 2026
