FortisBC – Bargaining Update #18

To: All MoveUP members at FortisBC
As we complete our internal review process of your new tentative agreement, we write to provide you with this summary of the most important elements of the deal ahead of your ratification vote. Your tentative agreement includes:
Duration: five years (July 1, 2023 – June 30, 2028).
Wages:
+3.5% as of July 1, 2023 – Full retroactivity from the expiration of the last agreement.
+4.5% effective July 1, 2024 – Retroactive to the anniversary of expiration.
+4% effective July 1, 2025
+2.75% effective July 1, 2026
+2.75% effective July 1, 2027
No concessions.
Remote Work Pilot Program.
Renewal of Letter of Understanding 42 – No change to entitlements for grand-parented electric workers for the duration of the agreement.
Mental Health Benefit increased to $1,000 for both the base option and option 3. Eligible practitioners expanded to include psychiatrist, psychologist, clinical counselor, clinician, therapist, and registered social worker.
Streamlining of job selection process for senior qualified candidates.
Evaluation process to help workers get off salary progressions.
Deletion of Performance Review language – focus on Training Needs instead.
Improvements to Job Evaluation Plan, helping ensure jobs are accurately valued.
Improvements to Street Team.
Addition of National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
