Call for expressions of interest: BCFED Indigenous Rights and Reconciliation Committee

To: All MoveUP members
MoveUP is an affiliate of the BC Federation of Labour (BCFED) and our members actively participate on BCFED committees to deal with issues that are important for workers and the communities they belong to.
The BCFED has asked MoveUP to submit nominations for individuals interested to serve on the newly formed Indigenous Rights and Reconciliation Committee for the current term through to the end of 2026.
MoveUP is entitled to have one designated individual to serve as a regular voting member to the Indigenous Rights and Reconciliation Committee. This opportunity is available for a MoveUP member who self-identifies as Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit, or Métis).
As a committee member, you are asked to attend and be an active participant at all meetings called by the committee chair and be well versed in the issues related to Indigenous Rights and Reconciliation.
If you are interested in taking putting your name forward for this standing committee, please email Brenda Chu (bchu@moveuptogether.ca) or Christy Slusarenko (cslusarenko@moveuptogether.ca) by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, February 7, 2025, and let us know why you would like to serve on this committee.
We will review each expression of interest and move your name forward if selected.
