Erik G.

Erik works as a Commercial Account Manager at VantageOne Credit Union in Vernon and has been involved with MoveUP as a job steward and executive councillor for the past nine years. In addition, Erik has represented his workplace by participating in collective agreement negotiations and has attended MoveUP and other labour education events as both a trainer and trainee.

Erik uses his experience in finance at MoveUP where he acts as a member of the Audit Committee, working alongside a handful of others to ensure MoveUP’s finances are being managed properly and ethically.

Erik believes our union should prioritize activating our existing members as well as organizing new members to improve the overall working conditions for all. Erik’s focus as a MoveUP board member is to ensure our union’s financial position continues to be made a priority to support our broad efforts well into the future.

Erik is an Accredited Business Lender through the Credit Union Institute of Canada (CUIC) and Dalhousie University.
