Southern Railway – Working from Home Plan

To All MoveUP Members at Southern Railway
MoveUP has been keeping in regular contact with Southern Railway to ensure that the health of individual workers and the public is protected. Southern Railway openly discusses their plans with the Union and continues to keep us informed as things evolve.
All MoveUP members at Southern Railway are now working from home under the newly developed Work from Home Plan which allows teleworking in emergency situations such as this pandemic. The Union is reviewing the Plan and will address any concerns that come to our attention. Southern Railway has committed to following the recommendations of the health authorities by introducing improved sanitation practices, maintaining physical and social distancing.
Southern Railway has been deemed an essential service therefor from time to time some MoveUP members will be required to attend work for a short duration in accordance with your collective agreement and the health authorities’ recommendations.
We also take this opportunity to remind you that if you are experiencing cold or flu-like symptoms, however mild or close contact with a person diagnosed with COVID-19, you should stay at home and should NOT attend the workplace.
