College of Pharmacists-Tentative Agreement Reached-Ratification Meeting Details

To: All MoveUP Members at College of Pharmacists of BC


We are pleased to announce that we have reached a tentative agreement with your employer.

The tentative agreement includes:

  • 4 year agreement with full retroactivity from March 1, 2023 to February 28, 2027 as follows:

5% Effective March 1, 2023
4% Effective March 1, 2024
3.25% Effective March 1, 2025
– or COLA Adjustment whichever is higher**to a maximum of 4.0%
3% Effective March 1, 2026
– or COLA Adjustment whichever is higher**to a maximum of 3.50%

**COLA Adjustment to be calculated based on average Consumer Price Index (CPI) (Vancouver all-items) for previous year (March 1 to February 28).

Adjustment will be incorporated into salary and paid to all categories effective the date of the applicable increase including employees who are red-circled. Any decreases in CPI below the above negotiated wage increases will not reduce salaries or contractual increases.

Other Improvements:

  • National Day of Truth and Reconciliation (September 30) added to the list of holidays.
  • Sick Leave Bank increased from 40 days to 70 days
  • Benefits—revised EHB benefits effective March 1, 2024:

–$400 eyeglass
–full cost of eye exam
–$1500 combined paramedical coverage for registered psychologists/registered clinical counsellor/social worker

  • Add son-in-law and daughter-in-law to list of family members for five days of bereavement leave and additional travel day
  • First Responders Leave – three unpaid days
  • ESA reference to Domestic or Sexual Violence Leave, Maternity and Parental, Adoption, and Sick Leave
  • Gender Reassignment Leave
  • Union representation for medical accommodation meetings
  • Improved Technological Change notice

The parties agree to unanimously recommend acceptance of this memorandum of agreement to their respective principals.

We will be holding a meeting on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, in order to review the memorandum of agreement with you and answer any questions you may have about the MOA (click here to view). After the meeting you will have the opportunity to vote on the MOA.

How and when to vote:
Voting will commence on Wednesday May 3, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. and close at 4:30 p.m.

To vote, simply log in to the Members Portal https://memberportal.moveuptogether.ca/ and you will see the option to vote on the screen. If you are having difficulty signing into the member portal, please email membership@moveuptogether.ca. If you haven’t already registered for your account, you will need your membership number and home email address. If you do not know your membership number you can obtain this number through an online form at https://moveuptogether.ca/membernumber/

Please email membership and they will assist you with this. If you are not registered on the member portal prior to the voting opening you will not be eligible to vote.
