CMAW 1995 – Tentative Agreement Reached

To: All MoveUP members at Construction, Maintenance and Allied Worker Local 1995


Your bargaining committee met with the Employer on July 3, 2024, to continue collective bargaining. After a long day of bargaining, and due to your solidarity from May 2024, to the present, your committee has reached a tentative agreement with the employer with no concessions. Your bargaining committee STRONGLY recommends that member accept the tentative agreement.

The tentative agreement contains the following improvements:

  • 3 Year agreement from April 1, 2024 to March 31, 2027
  • Wage increases of 4.0% in each year of the agreement (building on increases that occurred mid-contract for Category 4)
  • Wage increases of 9.27%% over the agreement (building on increases that occurred mid-contract for Category 5​—​​Accountant)
  • Management rights article (Fair and Reasonable Clause) [NEW]
  • Right of Representation article with guaranteed union representation [NEW]
  • First Responders Leave (5 days per year) [NEW]
  • improved pension and benefit contribution rates and related language
  • Impact of Legislation article [NEW]
  • new job description for Category 5 (Accountant) position
