Black Top Cabs Bargaining Update

Your bargaining committee met with the employer on April 11, 2023. The parties discussed the industry’s short-term and long-term outlook. Currently, more and more taxi employers have implemented various cost saving measures, including group layoffs, overseas dispatching operation, and cloud-based dispatching system.

Your bargaining committee had a lengthy discussion with the employer about your job security, shift bid, employee retention, training and job description. Conversations about these topics remain ongoing. The parties will be looking to schedule additional bargaining dates in the coming weeks. We will keep you informed as bargaining progresses.
