Combined-Transit Group – Executive Board By-Election Results

To: All MoveUP Members at Coast Mountain Bus, TransLink and BC Transit
Due to the resignation of Alicia Gallo as executive board member and vice-president, there was a vacancy for the position of executive board member for the Combined-Transit Group.
As stated in 10.7(b)ii of the constitution:
ii) Notwithstanding 10.7 b) i), should a vacancy occur after January 1st in the year of an Executive Board election, the position shall be filled by election of an Executive Councillor from within the unit who shall be elected by the members of the Executive Council from the unit. Such election shall be conducted at the first Executive Council meeting following the vacancy.
The executive council meeting was held on Monday, February 26, 2018 and Safar Alikhani was elected as the executive board member to represent members at Coast Mountain Bus, BC Transit and TransLink.
