Join us on March 16! Rally and free BBQ in support of workers on strike at Westminster Savings
This Saturday, March 16, will mark the 54th day that our members have been on the picket line at Westminster Savings Credit Union’s Shaughnessy Station branch. Those members went out on the picket line to fight for retirement security and against their employer’s attempt to deny access to the existing pension plan for those hired on or after July 1, 2018.
The change has already been instituted at all of the credit union’s non-unionized branches. Newly-hired executive managers, however, are exempt from this change and continue to have access to the superior plan.
Our members will be holding a rally and free BBQ this Saturday, March 16 and we hope you can join them. Come down to show your support for the workers and to learn more about their fight to save the pension plan.
Date: Saturday, March 16
Time: 11:30 a.m. start
Location: In front of the Westminster Savings branch at Shaughnessy Station (#6108 – 2850 Shaughnessy St., Port Coquitlam)
If you are unable to join us, please visit CorporateGreed.ca to send an email to Westminster Savings CEO Gavin Toy asking him to treat workers fairly.
